Fallen Angels

Julia and Jane

Fallen Angels

July 30-August 7, 2004

This rarely-performed 1925 comedy from the master of drawing room comedies rivals some of his better-known work, Blithe Spirit and Private Lives. Julia and Jane are best friends who have each been married to wonderful men for five years, but the passion is gone from their marriages. Their tranquil stability is thrown into chaos when they receive word that the dashing Frenchman with whom they each had an affair prior to their marriage is planning a visit. Vows of marriage and friendship are put to the test in this hilarious combination of dry wit and slapstick humor.
