Our Mission Statement

Ovation Theatre Company is a fellowship of passionate, involved artists, whose work dialogues with, reflects, and responds to the diverse community of Cincinnati. Our work engages, educates, and entertains through experiential theatre that gives voice to new perspectives and local artists.

Who Are We

Alana Ghent, Artistic Director, is President of the Kentucky Theatre Association, has directed over 30 productions in the U.S. and Canada and holds a BFA in Theatre (Concordia University, Montréal) and MFA in Directing from the University of Mississippi. Currently serves as the Assistant Professor of Drama at Thomas More College.

Karen Schulte, Company Manager, Handles Ovation's relationships with contracted artists and volunteers, coordinates relationships with other non-profits and outside artists.

Eric Bardes, Technical Director / Webmaster, is a Computer Consultant specializing in business application development currently at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Eric holds a BS in Computer Science (Georgetown College) with a minor in Mathematics. Eric has been involved with Ovation since the first production. Eric supports and participates in the dramatic and musical arts.
